We purposely designed the Ballet cryptocurrency cold storage to not include any computer chips or electronic circuitry.

In the long run, chips or other electronics have drawbacks:
  • Electronics can suffer from components failure
  • Power or battery problems may occur
  • Hardware compatibility issues may be encountered
  • There is a chance of the device succumbing to severe or zero-day security breaches
The presence of computer chips or electronic circuitry requires constant firmware upgrades and maintenance. However, with Ballet, you will never have to worry about any of these electronic circuitry issues, which could lead to the loss of your funds.

Industry standards

Ballet cryptocurrency cold storage is compatible with open industry standards, using BIP 38.

In the unlikelihood our company ceases operation, or even if Ballet Crypto mobile app is no longer available, your cryptocurrency assets will still be safe and accessible in the future. The core software and technologies for your private key are open source. Therefore, the ability to access your private keys and cryptocurrency assets in the future is guaranteed. Our core BIP 38 encryption and decryption algorithms are provided in an open source repository, for all future generations to use.

Future-proof design

This design is essential for the long-term possession of cryptocurrency assets.

Two pieces of secure data protect your cryptocurrency assets:
  • The private key entropy
  • The passphrase entropy
These two critical information are displayed in human-readable text format, with product longevity and compatibility in mind. This ensures your cryptocurrency assets are stored in a future-proof format that constantly evolving technology will not make obsolete.
