REAL Series cold storages are protected by tamper-evident QR code stickers (figure 3) and passphrase entropy scratch-offs (figure 4). As long as the sticker and scratch-off are intact, then you can be assured that your private key entropy and passphrase entropy are safe and have never been exposed to an unauthorized third party. This feature also makes it safe and reliable to give (or receive) Ballet cold storages as gifts, loaded with cryptocurrency.
Anti-Counterfeiting Measures
REAL Series cold storages have strong anti-counterfeiting measures. The top and bottom stickers have print that is only visible when exposed to ultraviolet light (figure 5). The QR code on the top sticker is also coated with a substance that releases a sweet fragrance when scratched (figure 6). This is the genuine Ballet scent.

What Makes Ballet Unique
No Seed Phrases

Unlike most other cryptocurrency wallets, REAL wallets do not have BIP39 seed phrases. Instead, the REAL wallet’s non-electronic design utilizes BIP38 two-factor private keys.

Hardware wallets and software wallets that utilize BIP39 seed phrases generate their private keys from a single source of entropy, which is a single point of failure. If the hardware device (computer, phone, or hardware wallet) that generates the BIP39 private key is compromised, then all of the crypto stored on the wallet is at risk.
